About Walibi Holland
Walibi Holland is in Biddinghuizen, Flevoland, less than an hour from Amsterdam. Part of the Walibi group, it has positioned itself clearly towards a young, thrill-seeking audience, with one of the most intense coaster collections in the Netherlands and an urban visual style that sets it apart from Efteling.
Which rides get the longest queues
Untamed, the hybrid coaster with a wooden structure and steel track, has drawn the longest queues since it opened. Goliath, the hypercoaster, and Lost Gravity build long waits through the day. Speed of Sound and Xpress: Platform 13, both launched, round out the busiest rides. Condor and El Rio Grande queue steadily, and the water rides fill up as soon as it gets hot.
How to avoid the queues
- Ride Untamed the moment the park opens: highest demand, worst queue growth.
- Goliath and Lost Gravity are relatively close together: chain them early.
- Lunchtime is a good window for the big coasters.
- During the Halloween season the park changes a lot and gets considerably busier.
- Check live waits before crossing the site.
Frequently asked questions
How long are the waits at Walibi Holland?
On summer weekends Untamed and Goliath can exceed an hour. Midweek outside Dutch school holidays waits drop a lot. Check the live waits on this page for the real figure.
Is Walibi Holland aimed at adults?
Its line-up is clearly pitched at teenagers and adults: Untamed, Goliath, Lost Gravity and Speed of Sound are all intense. There is a children's area, but it is smaller than at other Dutch parks.
What is Untamed?
It is a hybrid coaster: it keeps the wooden structure of a classic ride but runs on steel track, which allows inversions and drops impossible on pure timber. It is the park's signature attraction.
When is Walibi Holland open?
It runs a season from roughly April to early November, with the Halloween Fright Nights event in autumn. It closes over winter.
