About Toverland

Toverland is in Sevenum, in the south-east of the Netherlands near the German border. It opened in 2001 as an indoor play park and has grown into one of the most highly regarded parks in the Benelux, with carefully themed areas — Avalon, Port Laguna, Magische Vallei, Wunderwald and Land van Toos — and a coaster line-up that is surprising for its size.

Which rides get the longest queues

Fēnix, the wing coaster in Avalon, draws the biggest crowds. Dwervelwind, the indoor spinning coaster, and Booster Bike, with its launch, build notable waits. Merlin's Quest and Maximus' Blitz Bahn round out the busiest rides. Djengu River and Expedition Zork fill up as soon as it gets hot, and on rainy days the indoor areas such as Exploria Magica absorb almost everyone.

How to avoid the queues

• Head straight for Fēnix at opening: it takes longest to clear.
• The park is compact, so checking live waits and changing plan costs very little.
• Water rides fill up through the afternoon in summer; ride them early.
• Indoor areas are the shelter on rainy days, which is exactly why they saturate then.
• The last hour before closing is the best for re-riding the coasters.
