About Six Flags Magic Mountain

Six Flags Magic Mountain is in Valencia, north of Los Angeles, and competes with Cedar Point for the title of most roller coasters in the world. It is built on a hillside, which makes for constant elevation changes as you walk, and its line-up is almost entirely thrill-focused.

Which rides get the longest queues

X2, the fourth-dimension coaster with rotating seats, draws the longest queue in the park. Twisted Colossus, the dual-track hybrid, and Tatsu, the flying coaster, build long waits. Full Throttle and THE RIDDLER's Revenge round out the busiest rides. Goliath, Apocalypse, Viper and West Coast Racers queue steadily and make up the bulk of the collection.

Frequently asked questions

How long are the waits at Six Flags Magic Mountain?

On summer weekends X2 and Twisted Colossus can exceed an hour. Midweek in the shoulder season waits drop considerably. The live waits on this page show the real figure.

How many coasters does it have?

It is among the parks with the most roller coasters in the world, with a very varied collection: fourth-dimension (X2), flying (Tatsu), hybrid (Twisted Colossus) and classics such as Viper and Goliath.

Is it suitable for young children?

Its line-up is clearly thrill-oriented and most rides have height restrictions. There is a children's area, but it is not the best-suited park for families with small children.

Is it far from Los Angeles?

It is in Valencia, about 50 km north of downtown Los Angeles, roughly half an hour by car without traffic.
