About Legoland Windsor

Legoland Windsor Resort is in Berkshire, about 40 km west of London, next to Windsor Castle. It is the Danish brand's park aimed at families with children roughly 2 to 12: its centrepiece is Miniland, with models of European cities and British landmarks built from millions of bricks, surrounded by areas with rides pitched at each age group.

Which rides get the longest queues

The Dragon, the castle-themed coaster, and Flight of the Sky Lion, the indoor flying attraction, draw the biggest crowds. Laser Raiders and Ninjago The Ride build notable waits. The water rides — Pirate Falls, Drench Towers and Coastguard HQ — fill up as soon as the weather turns fine. Free-play areas and Miniland carry no queue but take up a good part of the day.

Frequently asked questions

How long are the waits at Legoland Windsor?

Main rides typically run 20-45 minutes in peak season, and considerably less midweek outside school holidays. The live waits on this page show the current figure.

What ages is Legoland Windsor for?

It is designed mainly for children roughly 2 to 12. There are family coasters but no extreme rides: if you are after thrills, Thorpe Park is a better fit.

Is it near Windsor Castle?

Yes, a few kilometres away. Many people combine the two on the same trip from London, though each needs its own time.

When is Legoland Windsor open?

It runs a season from roughly March to early November, with special events at Halloween and Christmas. It closes for much of the winter.
