About Europa-Park

Europa-Park is Germany's largest theme park and the second most visited in Europe, in Rust between the Black Forest and the French border. It is organised into areas themed to different European countries — Germany, Italy, Greece, Iceland, Scandinavia, Spain and more — each with its own architecture, food and rides. Rulantica, its indoor water park, sits next door on a separate ticket.

Which rides get the longest queues

Silver Star, a hypercoaster over 70 metres tall in the France area, and Blue Fire Megacoaster, with a launch and inversions in the Iceland area, draw the biggest crowds. Wodan Timburcoaster, the wooden coaster, builds long waits on popularity alone. Euro-Mir and Eurosat - CanCan Coaster, both indoors, fill up when the weather turns. Atlantica SuperSplash and Fjord-Rafting queue heavily on hot summer days, and Voletarium, the flying theatre, holds steady demand all day.

Frequently asked questions

How long are the waits at Europa-Park?

In peak season and at weekends the headline coasters like Silver Star or Blue Fire can pass an hour. Midweek outside German school holidays 20-40 minutes is normal. Check the live waits on this page for the real figure.

How many days do you need for Europa-Park?

One day covers the main rides with a clear plan, but the park has over 100 attractions across very large areas: two days let you see it properly and enjoy the theming, which is one of its defining strengths.

Is Rulantica included in the ticket?

No. Rulantica is Europa-Park's indoor water park and has a separate ticket, though combined options exist. It is a few minutes from the main park.

When is Europa-Park open?

It runs a summer season (late March to early November) and a winter season (late November to early January), with a few weeks closed between them. Hours vary by date.
