Animal Kingdom is the largest of the four Walt Disney World parks by area, and the most distinctive: it combines rides with a genuine zoo, with extensive habitats and thousands of animals. It is arranged around the Tree of Life in areas such as Pandora - The World of Avatar, Africa, Asia and DinoLand, and its theming is among the most highly regarded in the whole resort.
Which rides get the longest queues
Avatar Flight of Passage, the flight simulator in Pandora, has the longest queue at all of Walt Disney World on almost any day, frequently exceeding two hours. Na'vi River Journey, in the same area, builds very long waits. Expedition Everest, the Himalayan coaster, and Kilimanjaro Safaris round out the busiest attractions. Kali River Rapids fills up as soon as the Florida heat kicks in.
How to avoid the queues
- Ride Avatar Flight of Passage the moment the park opens: it is the longest queue in the resort and only gets worse.
- Kilimanjaro Safaris works best first thing or at dusk, when the animals are more active.
